Lia should read and write the words zero to twenty, and later the tens (thirty, forty…). Most words follow a pattern, but some do not. The best way to learn spelling is a little every day, with the look, say, cover, write, check method that British schools use.

    She mixes up 13 and 30 when listening.

Game · Number word bingo

You need: paper with a 3 × 3 grid

  1. Lia writes 9 numbers from 1 to 20 in her grid, as numerals.
  2. You call out words: “fourteen!” She crosses it out if she has it.
  3. Next time, she writes words in the grid and you call numerals.
Game · Missing letters

You need: paper

  1. Write a word with missing letters: tw_lv_, e_gh_een.
  2. Lia fills them in and reads the word.

Extra challenge더 도전

  • Write the tens in words: thirty, forty … one hundred.
  • Write 2-digit numbers in words: 47 = forty-seven (with a hyphen). This is Year 2 work.
  • Write a number sentence in words: seven plus eight equals fifteen.

네, fourty가 아니라 forty예요. four에서 u가 빠지는 예외라 따로 연습해요.
